Ece is a second-year Trainee Solicitor with a background in commercial law and international arbitration. She is the Editorial Assistant of the Construction Law Journal published by Sweet & Maxwell. She has worked on setting aside a Winding Up Order in the High Court of England & Wales and an array of interim applications in international arbitration, including a request for a Partial Final Award in respect of an ‘undisputed sum’. Prior to joining Hamish Lal Partners, Ece gained valuable experience through internships in industry and in law firms. This included assisting in a high-value ICC-administered international construction arbitration and supporting senior associates in drafting loan and securitisation agreements. Her commitment to legal practice extends to Pro Bono work, demonstrated by her role as a student advisor at Southwark Pensioners Centre, where she provided guidance on welfare rights to local residents, and as a mentor for the Legal Outreach Project through which she supported students from underrepresented backgrounds with their academic and career aspirations.
During her time as a Trainee Solicitor, Ece moderated a panel during London Arbitration Week 2025 on “International Construction Arbitration – Pursuit of Effective Expert Evidence”. She has drafted several Client Alerts and has been published in a leading peer-reviewed journal:
